Buffets, barbecues, eating in front of the television, casual eating at casual tables or without tables - these trends were increasingly the norm. Simon Stevens, a senior designer at Wedgwood, has addressed this tendency with \"Weekday/Weekend\". He first considered his own eating patterns and what foodstuffs were popular at supermarkets. His multi-functional range of vessels reflects modern cooking practice and international cuisine. One can imagine stir-fries, pasta, olives, rice, salads tossed in oil and vinegar, cappuccinos and espressos.
