Volume II. 17th-18th century</u>, London, 1979, p. 99\n\nThe following is the full text of the entry:\n\nApotheosis of King David \r\nInscribed faintly in pencil 'NH' (not in Lugt) Pen and ink and wash heightened with white \r\n10 ¼ x 7 7/8 (260 x 199) \tD.132-1888 \r\n\r\nPROVENANCE Bought 1888 \r\nFormerly ascribed, for reasons unknown, to 'Paolo Franceschi', presumably meaning \r\nSeventeenth century 99 \r\nPaolo dei Franceschi (Pauwels Franck). \r\nThe drawing is possibly Roman, about 1650.
