Of the four or five drawings he made of her, one appeared in the second volume of The Yellow Book; another in rubbed red chalk - a medium unusual for Beardsley - and this heavy line drawing may possibly have been made earlier, in 1893.  This print was autographed by the actress, it is presumed at the time of their meeting at the theatre'.
