On the head is a headdress of orange and grey 'flames'; the grey tunic is tied at the waist and has a v-neck and sleeves cut in flame shapes edged yellow, decorated with yellow dots in triangular formation, and the knee-length dark grey underskirt has a pattern of orange spots. He discussed the idea with Ninette de Valois including an idea for a ballet divertissement based on the idea of different types of flames.  The project never became a reality.  \r\nOne design for a Flame (S.286-2000) and the sketch for the setting were reproduced in John Percival's article \"When Cyril Beaumont formed a ballet company\", Dance and Dancers, December 1961, p25.
