The legs are carved on the knees with symmetrical foliage and terminate in feet in the form of inverted Dolphin's heads. Two of the Dolphin head feet have had part of their upper mouths broken and smoothed; two are entire. There is a flanged seat frame with symmetrical scrollwork and foliage centred on a blank escutcheon or lozenge. The loose upholstered seat was covered after purchase with green velvet of eighteenth century date.
