Connor's\r\nfirm had previously designed a house and a flat for the\r\ngroup's founder, Adam Ant.\r\nConnor's stated aim in decorating the flat was \"...altering\r\nconventional architectural order\", and the influence of\r\nGerman Expressionist film design is evident. To this end the\r\ndado rail (which was originally to have been made of\r\ncooked spaghetti) and the skirting were fixed at unusual\r\nangles. The doors and radiators were also angled, and the \r\nfloor tiles laid to take no account of where walls began.\r\nEven the table was intended to be slanted. Pirroni said\r\nof the project \"I wanted something really different\".\r\nThe design was acquired by the Museum for the exhibition\r\n<i>Designs for Interiors</i>, 1986.\r\n\r\nGiven by the designer\r\nE.303-1986","date":{"text":"1990","earliest":"1990-01-01","latest":"1990-12-31"}}],"partNumbers":["E.303-1986"],"accessionNumberNum":"303","accessionNumberPrefix":"E","accessionYear":1986,"otherNumbers":[],"copyNumber":"","aspects":["WHOLE"],"assets":[],"recordModificationDate":"2025-04-23","recordCreationDate":"2009-06-30","availableToBook":false}}
