Its aim was to\r\nrecord the ancient buildings, customs and other\r\n‘survivals’ of historical interest. The result would be a\r\nnational memory bank that would foster ‘a national\r\npride in the historical associations of the country, or\r\nneighbourhood, [and] in family traditions’.\r\n\r\nPlatinum print\r\nTransferred from the British Museum\r\nMuseum no.
