It is not to be recognised among the 120 illustrations in the exhibition catalogue Genova nelle vecchie stampe, Cassa di Risparmio, Genao, 1970, though a similar gate, with pepperpot turrets attached to the corners of the towers, is shown in pl. 99, ‘La porta di S. Giovanni al Molo Vecchio’, a water-colour drawing by J. Smith.
