The bottleracks are examples of Morrison's designs being made more cheaply on a larger scale. Nevertheless they retain the same attention to detail and the distinctive styling of his more expensive products. The racks are designed to stack, which has influenced the decision to acquire a group of three. Furthermore, a stack will have mre presence in displays, and reiterates the fact that the design is intended as a mass-produced multiple.","historicalContext":"Jasper Morrison's rational, spare and elegant desings have made him one of the most influential furniture designers of his generation. His work has been emulated by designers throughout Europe and his designs are manufactured by leading international companies.\r\nMagis is a typical Italian producer of contemporary design, in that they are design-led, relatively small, yet highly specialised and industrially developed. Like Kartell, Magis specialise in plastic furniture and homeware.","briefDescription":"Designed by Jasper Morrison (British, born 1959); made by Magis, Italian, 1997.","bibliographicReferences":[],"production":"","productionType":{"text":"Mass produced","id":"THES48863"},"contentDescription":"","contentPlaces":[],"associatedPlaces":[],"contentPerson":[],"associatedPerson":[],"contentOrganisations":[],"associatedOrganisations":[],"contentPeople":[],"associatedPeople":[],"contentEvents":[],"associatedEvents":[],"contentOthers":[],"contentConcepts":[],"contentLiteraryRefs":[],"galleryLabels":[{"text":"BOTTLERACKS\r\n\r\nDesigned by Jasper Morrison (British, born 1959), 1994\r\nMade by Magis, Italy, 1997\r\nPolypropylene, anodised aluminium\r\n\r\nMorrison has influenced international designers with his cool, rational, reductive designs.
