Formerly padded, with one ear-piece missing. Its spike, once decorated with the Lamaist sacred colours (red, yellow, blue) has but one colour, the fragment of indigo-blue cloth, remaining. The cap of the helmet, composed of eight curved plates, surmounted by a spindle-shaped knob (to which the sacred colour is attached by a twisted cord of cotton fabric), the neck-piece consisting of four rows of small plates, and the left-ear piece of five still smaller plaques.
