They were popular export products in the 18<sub>th</sub> and 19<sub>th</sub> centuries. These copper wares were also produced in Beijing for imperial consumption. In Chinese they were referred to as 'foreign porcelain' (<i>yangci</i> 洋瓷).","physicalDescription":"set of trays, red stoneware, enamelled in colours. The set consists of a polygonal central tray surrounded by eigth others completing a circle. Each tray is decorated with a group of irregularly placed dishes painted in colour on a ground marbled in light green and brown, blue and white borders.
