He is seated in dhyana posture with the right hand raised in the Abhaya-mudra, whilst the left rests in the lap holding a patra. Overshadowing him is a seven-hooded serpent, or seven serpents whose bodies are plaited in three-ply behind the Buddha with their tails ending on the rich cloth which covers the throne, upon which the Buddha sits, and upon whose front is the Double-vajra. Beside the throne are two Garudas, the vahan of this Buddha.
