The opium-bowl and end-plate are brass. The pipe is flat on the sides and contracts to almost a point at the mouthpiece. The mounts are of sheet copper, with low relief patterns of a pair of fish, a wheel and a flowering-branch, and of 'cash' and scrolling foliations. The jewelled studs occur near the bowl (3), on the middle holding-band (5) and towards the mouthpiece. The mouthpiece, probably of amber, is missing.","artistMakerPerson":[],"artistMakerOrganisations":[],"artistMakerPeople":[],"materials":[{"text":"horn","id":"AAT11826"},{"text":"copper","id":"AAT11020"},{"text":"silver","id":"AAT11029"},{"text":"coral","id":"AAT11800"},{"text":"turquoise","id":"AAT11164"}],"techniques":[{"text":"repousse","id":"AAT54023"}],"materialsAndTechniques":"Stags-horn, repoussé copper mounts, silver studs, coral and turquoise beads","categories":[{"text":"Smoking accessories","id":"THES49036"},{"text":"Metalwork","id":"THES48920"}],"styles":[],"collectionCode":{"text":"SSEA","id":"THES48598"},"images":["2021MU6579"],"imageResolution":"high","galleryLocations":[{"current":{"text":"007","id":"THES365686"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""}],"partTypes":[[{"text":"Opium pipe","id":""}]],"contentWarnings":[{"apprise":"","note":""}],"placesOfOrigin":[{"place":{"text":"Tibet","id":"x29910"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":"East Tibet"}],"productionDates":[{"date":{"text":"19th century","earliest":"1800-01-01","latest":"1899-12-31"},"association":{"text":"","id":""},"note":""}],"associatedObjects":[],"creditLine":"Bequeathed by Lord Curzon of Kedleston, K.G.
