The Buddha is seated in the 'adamantine' position, upon a padmasana, with a Dorje-sceptre in front of him. His right hand is in the 'earth-witness' (bhumisparsha) mudra and the left in the Dhyana-mudra. The monk's robe has a rich edging, and the hair has been painted black.
