It features the black form of the deity with a red consort in the central circle of the mandala. The central circle is surrounded by four layers of outward-facing lotus petals. Subsidiary two-armed representations of Chakrasamvara appear in eight radiating lines, including red, white, green, and yellow forms each guarding a gate. Outside the circle of flames guarding the inner area are found representations of 'The Eight Cemeteries', each with its yogi, corpses, wild animals and deity. The inner mandala lies within a painted double rectangular frame of red (inner) and yellow (outer) colour on which are dispersed white skulls and heads respectively. In the spaces between the inner mandala and the painted borders are ten deities, five above anf five below. On the outside of the painted borders is a dense lotus scrollwork inhabited by mythical animals and birds, including peacocks, makara and naga.
