The original marble panel is now in the Museo Arqueológico y Etnológico in Granada (inv. CE2109), together with a second marble panel (inv. CE2108) which sits immediately above this panel. The original inscription was enclosed within a polylobed arch supported by flanking columns, one of which can be seen at the edges of this plaster cast. The original registered description implied that the Museum believed this to be a genuine piece of Nasrid architectural decoration. It stated: \"Panel of stucco; an inscription. From the Alhambra. Hispano-Moresque, 14th century\".\r\n\r\nThe Sculpture Section record card also states: \"When received this panel was in two pieces and there were remains of the reeds used to strengthen it. These, being rotten, were removed in A. W. R. [Art Work Room] and the panel put together and strengthened with two iron rods.
