As consultant engineers Ove Arup & Partners were able to execute the architect's design by using parts of a sphere for the basic shape, and by constructing the roofs from pre-cast concrete clad with tiles. The drawing shows three views of one of the shells: two elevations - one of the bare structure and the other clad - and a plan.
