I have taken a small portion of each for this Museum. With each specimen I have wrapped up a translation of the Persian label inscribed on its cover. The package also contains a few sheets of printed labels (translated) and ten copies (translated into English by Mr Fargues of the Telegraph Department Teheran) of the account of his process of enamelled tile making written at my request by Ustad Ali Mohammad of Teheran\" (Robert Murdoch Smith, letter dated 18 December 1888, V&A Archive).","historicalContext":"","briefDescription":"Twenty-three samples of colouring substances (pigments) used in the manufacture of glazed ceramics, framed and mounted together in compartments, from the workshop of `Ali Muhammand Isfahani, Tehran, Iran, 1887","bibliographicReferences":[],"production":"","productionType":{"text":"","id":""},"contentDescription":"","contentPlaces":[],"associatedPlaces":[],"contentPerson":[],"associatedPerson":[{"text":"Robert Murdoch Smith","id":"C2864"}],"contentOrganisations":[],"associatedOrganisations":[],"contentPeople":[],"associatedPeople":[],"contentEvents":[],"associatedEvents":[],"contentOthers":[],"contentConcepts":[],"contentLiteraryRefs":[],"galleryLabels":[],"partNumbers":["450A-1888","450B-1888","450C-1888","450D-1888","450E-1888","450F-1888","450G-1888","450H-1888","450I-1888","450J-1888","450K-1888","450L-1888","450M-1888","450N-1888","450O-1888","450P-1888","450Q-1888","450R-1888","450S-1888","450T-1888","450U-1888","450V-1888","450W-1888"],"accessionNumberNum":"450","accessionNumberPrefix":"","accessionYear":1888,"otherNumbers":[],"copyNumber":"","aspects":["WHOLE","Sample [1]","Sample [2]","Sample [3]","Sample [4]","Sample [5]","Sample [6]","Sample [7]","Sample [8]","Sample [9]","Sample [10]","Sample [11]","Sample [12]","Sample [13]","Sample [14]","Sample [15]","Sample [16]","Sample [17]","Sample [18]","Sample [19]","Sample [20]","Sample [21]","Sample [22]","Sample [23]"],"assets":[],"recordModificationDate":"2025-08-01","recordCreationDate":"2009-06-25","availableToBook":true}}
