It has an asymmetric front opening which fastens with five pewter coloured domed metal buttons with beaten finish. There are long sleeves and three buttons on each cuff, 1 patch pocket with button and 1 breast pocket on the left. The lining is of dark coloured plum silk complete with shoulder pads. The trousers of black and white hounds-tooth check wool are tapered with a centre front opening and a fly zip fastening. There are 5 belt loops on the waistband, and two side pockets. The trousers are partially lined in grey silk.
