They are known to have been in the collection of Charles I, and to have been presented to St Bavon by Bishop Anthony Triest who occupied the see from 1622-57. Henry VIII later commissioned the sculptor to create parts for a magnificent tomb that was never completed. This is a cast of one of four candelabra that da Rovezzano created for the king.
