The Buddha sits with his legs crossed at the ankles-an unusual posture.   It is also unusual that his left hand forms the vitarkamudra while his right rests in his lap; normally the reverse is true. The drapery is so gossamer fine as to be scarcely visible, so that he appears almost naked.
