Embroidered in silver sequins, silver and silver gilt thread spirals and beads imitating pearls.\n\nThe subject represents a Princess of the Konbaung Dynasty (1752-1885) and in the costume of the 19th century. She stands full-front, against a black background, with earrings, necklace, bracelets of imitation pearls and a floral headdress, the right arm bent, the left pendant. The ein-gyi (outer jacket) is yellow, the yinzi (breast cloth) red, the hta-mein (wrap-round skirt) to which is attached a white train, is magenta with acheik patterns. All the garments are heavily sequined in a variety of motifs. The earrings are of looking glass.
