Several different techniques were used in its production. It has been mordant-dyed (a technique that involves using a metallic salt to create permanent colours from natural dyes). The pattern was created using a drawn resist to prevent certain areas absorbing the dye. The painted gold embellishment was probably added at royal workshops in Thailand.","physicalDescription":"Skirt-cloth (pha nung) of cotton, mordant-dyed, drawn resist-dyed and painted with gold.
