This cast-iron dish, which the South Kensington Museum (now the V&A) bought at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1867, reproduces an Enderlein version of the Temperance Basin. Made in Berlin, it is identical to an electrotype the Museum bought in 1852 from Elkington in Birmingham.
