The rayed gloria for holding the host is held in a larger rayed frame set with crystals. Images of birds pounced in rectangular or irregular-shaped geometric cartouches around the monstrance window, for example on the front side, at 12 o'clock: a flying bird (matched on the verso with a pounced image of a goose). The arms of the royal order of Discalced (ie 'without shoes') Carmelites are engraved in an oval boss at the top of the stem, on both sides. The stem itself is formed of two urn-shaped sections with pounced scrollwork and set with oval bosses decorated with ornament against a ground of dark blue enamel.","artistMakerPerson":[],"artistMakerOrganisations":[],"artistMakerPeople":[],"materials":[],"techniques":[{"text":"gilding","id":"AAT53789"}],"materialsAndTechniques":"","categories":[],"styles":[],"collectionCode":{"text":"MET","id":"THES48599"},"images":["2006AY0034","2018KX5131"],"imageResolution":"high","galleryLocations":[{"current":{"text":"001","id":"THES403986"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"CB010","id":"THES403891"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""}],"partTypes":[[{"text":"monstrance","id":""}],[{"text":"Reliquary","id":""}]],"contentWarnings":[{"apprise":"","note":""},{"apprise":"","note":""},{"apprise":"","note":""}],"placesOfOrigin":[],"productionDates":[{"date":{"text":"ca. 1620","earliest":"1615-01-01","latest":"1624-12-31"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""}],"associatedObjects":[],"creditLine":"Dr W.L.
