The original is of silver-gilt with an illegible maker's mark and hallmark for 1607-8 or 1614-15 and was given as an ambassadorial gift to the Russian Court during Simon Digby's mission in 1636. The original was later given in 1708 to Troitse Sergievaya monastery.
