It was located on 8 Great Marlborough Street, London above the decorative stove maker F. Edwards & Son. The three-storey, eighteenth-century house was her premises for 15 years or so but the building was eventually demolished. The shop was attacked during World War 1, when, on account of her surname, she was incorrectly assumed to be German. The copper panel was worked by Fred Partridge (1877-1942) and the enamels were applied by May Hart Partridge (1881-1917), both of whom had worked for C.R. Ashbee before setting up business in London and teaching at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts.","historicalContext":"","briefDescription":"Gallery and shop sign for the Little Gallery owned by Amy Kotzé (1884-1976) and made by Frederick Partridge and Gertrude Mary (May) Partridge.
