The large overmantel mirror is presented horizontally and flanked by two columns with incised decoration representing acorns and leaves. There are two hooks at the top of the frame as well as a series of roughly cut wooden blocks place to support the fretted decoration. Salvin was commissioned to produce designs in 1826 and building was completed in 1838.
