Rectangular in shape with a bow-shaped top surmounted by a small foliated shell ornament. The frame contains a panel of contemporary needlework showing Comedia d’ell Arte characters on a stage with baldaquin. The scene is within a shaped framing surrounded by flowers. The uprights are of a channelled square section tapering towards the base and each surmounted by a female head facing outwards and supported by a swelling acanthus scroll. The legs, similarly carved and ending in ball-and-claw feet, are connected by a channelled stretcher. The screen panel can be raised or lowered, and slides in grooves on the inside edge of the uprights. There is a catch on one side.
