Horizontal cartouches filled with Arabic inscriptions of “Katabahu al-Ali [al-Hadji] Mohammad Khuwaja” with the Hijra date of 1156 encircle the bottom of the lid. Floral sprays decorate the top portion, with brass fittings and fixtures securing the lid to the base.
