The top rectangular with indented corners is of oak.  In the centre a raised oval medallion carved with husk pendants within strapwork, the surrounding areas carved with tendrils, acanthus foliage, scrollwork and scallop shells. In the centre of the frieze, which is carved with bold half leaves, a lion mask and a scrolled apron. The stand is of pine. The cabriole legs are of square section, carved with foliage at the knees and ending in lion paw feet. The ground of the stand is hatched, whereas that of the top is pointille with minute circles.
