Trimmed with black machine-stitched chanel seams. \r\n\r\nThe waistcoat has a deep point in the centre front, a narrow collar with stepped lapels and is sleeveless. The fronts are shaped to the figure and it has shaping darts. It fastens with two hole pearl buttons with hand-worked button holes. The back is made from dark green satin, possibly a silk and cotton mixture, and the same fabric is used to fill in a godet at waist level. The button stand is bound with grey tape. The lining is made from white and striped brown cotton twill. It is boned but this may, from the workmanship, be an addition.
