These toy bears are much more realistic than teddy bears. They often had wheels added to make them pull-along toys rather than huggable cuddly toys.","physicalDescription":"This is a pull along toy set on four wheels. The bear is a traditional shape with a long snout, round ears and a prominent hump. The fabric is a golden mohair Yorkshire cloth, well worn over much of the body, the metal frame inside the body is also slightly rusty and has affected the legs and rear areas of the fabric by staining it. Both eyes are missing and the left ear appears to been resewn. The base frame is a rectangle made from length of metal with 4 metal wheels. All the metal has been slightly affected by rust. The wheels are solid with a pattern of small circles moulded on the outer side.","artistMakerPerson":[{"name":{"text":"Unknown","id":"A1848"},"association":{"text":"","id":""},"note":""}],"artistMakerOrganisations":[],"artistMakerPeople":[],"materials":[{"text":"mohair","id":"AAT192989"}],"techniques":[],"materialsAndTechniques":"Mohair stuffed with wood wool, on a metal frame and wheels","categories":[{"text":"Children & Childhood","id":"THES48980"},{"text":"Dolls & Toys","id":"THES48967"}],"styles":[],"collectionCode":{"text":"YVA","id":"THES48593"},"images":["2006AA5148","2006AK6489","2012FK3084","2012FK3085","2012FK3088","2012FK3089","2012FK3090","2012FK3091","2012FK3323","2012FK3325","2012FK4478","2012FK4480","2012FK4482","2012FK4483","2012FK4484","2012FK4485","2012FK4486","2012FK4487","2012FK4488","2012FK4489","2012FK4490","2012FK4492","2012FK4493","2012FK4515","2012FK4517","2012FK4518","2012FK4520","2012FK3086"],"imageResolution":"high","galleryLocations":[{"current":{"text":"003","id":"THES343649"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""}],"partTypes":[[{"text":"Pull along toy","id":""}]],"contentWarnings":[{"apprise":"","note":""}],"placesOfOrigin":[{"place":{"text":"Germany","id":"x28873"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":"probably"}],"productionDates":[{"date":{"text":"ca. 1920","earliest":"1915-01-01","latest":"1924-12-31"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""}],"associatedObjects":[],"creditLine":"Given by Mrs P.
