It has a 2¼-inch (5.6 cm) standing collar decreasing to ½ inch (1.25 cm) at the front, 1-inch (2.5 cm) deep shoulder wings and curving 2-piece sleeves, with a high, pointed waist and 14 shallow laps.  Beige and brown silk woven lace, ⅜-inch (8 mm) wide, applied in parallel, covers the seams and decorates the collar, shoulder wings, sleeves and the laps.  The belly piece appears to be made of layers of linen stitched together and covered with beige silk. There are worked buttonholes down the left front, several missing, and 6 on each sleeve; no buttons remain.  The laps have 4 lacing holes, except for the 2 at centre front which each have 3.  There is a lacing loop of green silk ribbon inside each front above the waist.
