The jumps are cut in the same shape as stays, in 8 panels, open at the front, with shoulder straps, curved skirts below the waist, which is short and straight.  All the edges are bound with ⅝-inch (1.4 cm) wide yellow silk grosgrain ribbon and the skirts are lined with ivory silk sarsenet.
