Behind her are Joseph and St. Anne. Behind Joseph's shoulder can be seen the heads of the ox and the ass. On the left are three shepherds, the one in front kneeling on a cushion. At the top are clouds, opening and shedding golden light downwards, and revealing the figures of two cherubs.
