Bertha collar designed to fit round a low and wide neckline. Delicate open pattern of two rows of simple floral sprigs above a scalloped lower edge. The sprigs are linked by clothwork lines. Elongated and square wheat-ears are used as fillings within compartments decorating the upper and lower edges. The main parts of the pattern are in cloth stitch with openwork and chain decoration.
