A border of scrolling stems with abstract sprigs is chain-stitched with coloured silk floss, along the hem and a line of sprigs over the outside seam, around the thumb and along the top edges.  There is a pointed flap, faced with lawn and chain-stitched on each side in a design of a vase with flowers, over the fingers which can be turned back over the hand.
