The smock has a wide square neckline, long full sleeves ending in cuffs.  There are no fastenings at the neck and a thread button and buttonhole on each cuff.  The neck is edged with linen bobbin lace.  The shoulders edged with a narrow border of drawn-and-pulled-thread work.  The sleeves are made up of horizontal bands of needle lace insertions and drawn-and-pulled-thread work.
