Bevelled glass panel in the centre surrounded by panels of embroidery. The panels are embroidered in coloured silks in long and short, knotted and needlepoint filling stitches, with detached and raised details all on a cream satin ground. Chenille, purl, mica, coiled paper, pearls and ribbon work are also used.\n\nThe panels are separated by strips of tortoiseshell. The shaped frame is also of tortoiseshell.\r\n\r\nTop centre panel consists of a central medallion with the bust of a cloaked gentleman with a staff. House and tree in background.\n\nThe top left and right has a lion and leopard, respectively. Both are lying under a fruit tree.\n\nThe left centre shows a king standing beneath a canopy with orb and sceptre.\n\nThe right centre shows a queen beneath a canopy with a fan.\n\nThe bottom centre is a circular medallion with a mermaid and a fountain in water, and framed by trees.\n\nThe bottom left and right has formal floral patterns.
