It is mid-calf length and has a low square neck with two V-shaped bust gussets inserted. The width can be adjusted by the tape 'en coulisse' through the top. The sleeves are short with the fullness arranged at the top gathered into the neck and cuff band. They are set in straight with a triangular gusset beneath. The front of the chemise is cut to flare towards the hem. The centre back panel is straight with wedge shaped gussets inserted at each side.
