The bodice has a low neck and short sleeves both trimmed with a band of whitework embroidery and bobbin lace edging. The bodice has a point at the front waist and fastens at the centre back with fabric covered buttons. Tacked inside the back placket is an extra piece of fabric with buttons to allow for letting out. The skirt which has a decorated border of openwork embroidery set amid narrow tucks is box pleated to the waist of the garment. Waist and shoulder seams are piped.
