The pattern is on a cream ground, heavily patterned in black, brown and yellow. Strands of these latter colours are mixed to make one unit of pattern warp.\r\n\r\nIt is an unfaded fragment, cut from the surplus folded under a complete carpet which has a border of roses and fern en suite with the central design.
