Split, brick and satin stitches, with couched and applied work.\r\nThe velvet: ITALIAN; about 1480-1500\r\nThe orphrey: GERMAN (Cologne); about 1480-1500\r\n8704-1863\r\nThe cross-orphrey, depicting the Crucifixion with the symbols of the Passion, was probably embroidered in Cologne.
