The jackets is hip length, unwaisted and entirely pleated from the shoulder yoke. The sleeves are long, more loosely pleated, caught in below the elbow and flaring in a loose cuff. There is a wide, square collar, trimmed with stitched tucks. White machine-made lace flounces trim the edge of the collar, cuffs and hem of jacket. There is additional applied lace trimming on the collar. The sleeves are cotton-lined.
