It is decorated with two chevron bands of red velvet. The puffed sleeves are of red velvet, and there is a pleated projecting collar of the same fabric. There is a bow at the waist behind. The skirt is straight cut in the front, and pleated to the waist behind, with a train. The hem is stiffened with a red velvet band, and there is an inner fringe of machine-made lace.
