It is worked in a pattern of large leafy swags and large exotic flowers, carnations and pomegranates. Borders for 2 pocket openings have been embroidered and cut, with pocket bags of ivory silk sarsenet.  The apron is backed with ivory silk sarsenet. The waist is pleated and stitched to a 5-16ths-inch (7 mm) wide ivory silk grosgrain ribbon, which extends to form the ties.
