It has standing collar (cut in 1 piece with the front), wide revers, curving fronts each with a welted pocket, and short skirts reaching to the top of the thigh.  The waistcoat is lined with ivory wool flannel; the skirts are lined with, and the fronts faced with maroon worsted twill.  A ⅜-inch (8 mm) wide silver filé braid edges the fronts, hems and pocket welts.
