Her right arm emerges from the mantle in front and appears to have held an object, possibly a palm, which is now missing. \r\n\r\nThis statues is a reduced variant of the marble statues of St. Susanna carved by Duquesnoy for the church of Santa Maria di Loreto, Rome in 1627-33. Plaster casts were made of the figure soon after its completion and in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries it was amongst the most popular sculptures in Rome.","physicalDescription":"Figure in terracotta.
