It is an interesting example of turned ivory, and was donated by the grand-daughter of the artist, who was the second son of George Engleheart (1750-1829), a well-known miniature painter, and the nephew of the sculptor and wax modeller Thomas Engleheart (1745-1809). A turned urn is in the centre. The lantern and upper section of the dome are separately made in three pieces screwed together.
